My name is Brooks Rogers and I have a passion for graphics design and web design and development. I am currently working as a Systems Analyst in the Patient Financial Services department at Wayne Memorial Hospital in my hometown of Goldsboro, North Carolina. Also, I’m part of the best Air Force in the world as a Reservist in the 916th ARW. I spend most of my free time creating websites, graphics, and editing video. I come from a creative background with the love of art and music.
I love creating graphics, websites, and DVD’s just for fun. My portfolio shows some of my current work which includes many graphics for logos, business cards, t-shirts, and banners for a wide variety of clients. I’ve created a few websites that are published, such as Engage Church and my beautiful wife’s site, laurengrogers.com. I have also created a DVD reel for my wife that showcases a mix of her past performances. The software that was used for the production of this DVD was, Adobe Premiere, Encore, After Effects, and Photoshop. I am proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Encore, After Effects, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks. I also have significant experience in Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Vision, Project, and Visual Basic (VB). Obviously I love to create, working with a wide variety of software.
I graduated from Mount Olive College with a B.S. in Management of Information Systems back in December of 2008. This is really where I developed my love of graphic art. One day in class we made a database from scratch and from then on, I’ve been hooked. Creating structures in VB was exhilarating to me. I’m also working to complete my Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne Community College.
My wife and I are very active in our church, both sing on praise team at Whitley Church and our satellite location, The Bridge. I also play bass and acoustic guitar for both, including the Whitley Church Encounter Student Ministries on Wednesday evenings. We were previously Contemporary Worship Leaders at a church in our city for about six months, which was a great calling on our lives. We recently felt led to return to our home church, Whitley, and love it!
I love my wife, Lauren Grantham Rogers. I bet our mother’s, who actually were best friends growing up, never knew we would end up together. We were married on May 18th, 2008 at Princeton Church of God by our great pastors, Andy Stovall and Ferrell Hardison. She is an awesome cook, you would know if you know me or have ever seen a picture. I’m not the smallest guy in the world, but I think I can blame her for that. (P90X/Insanity, here I come!) Also, I have a wonderful, beautiful little girl born 7 July 2010.
